Sharing Your Experience Consent Form

Surviving Economic Abuse produces a range of communications resources to help raise awareness of economic abuse. We like to share the experiences of women who have experienced economic abuse first-hand to demonstrate the significance of the issue and transform responses to it. By completing this form, you give us permission to use your story in our external and internal communications until you withdraw your consent. You can read SEA’s full privacy notice here. Thank you for sharing your story to help us raise awareness of economic abuse.

If you prefer to be called something different to your first and last name that you have listed above, please let us know here.
We will use a pseudonym to protect your identity. If you have a preferred pseudonym please let us know. You should avoid picking a name that is similar to you own or could make you identifiable. If you don’t have a preferred pseudonym we can pick one for you.
Please let us know your region if you selected “Other” from the list above.
Please enter the Quote Reference number that will have been provided to you by a member of Team SEA. If you don’t have one, please contact [email protected]

Please remember that all the information you share with us will not automatically be shared publicly and that your safety is priority. We will moderate the content of your comments to ensure this is safe to publish. This may include removing or changing some identifiable information, for example your location, exact figure of debt or number of children. This is to ensure the protection of your safety, while still bringing to light your lived experiences.

Data protection

The information that you provide here will only be used to contact you about sharing your story as set out above. We will not pass the details recorded on this form on to any other organisation without your permission. Your consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time by notifying SEA. On your request to withdraw consent we will discuss with you what materials or circumstances you’d like to withdraw consent under, and we will update our records. We cannot withdraw images, text, videos or audio that have already been published online or in print. If you are unhappy about how we have used your personal data, please contact our data protection officer Pam Hoyer at [email protected]
