Colleagues Catherine Flood and Emma Bantges from Cabot Financial ran “Dig Deep for DEAP” a fundraising event to raise money for Surviving Economic Abuse and partner Money Advice Plus’s joint partnership project, DEAP (Domestic and Economic Abuse Project).
The charity event was held over lunchtime in Cabot offices, where Catherine and Emma hosted activities for staff to raise money for economic abuse. They were inspired to host a fundraiser after receiving training on economic abuse and how to respond to it within their roles.
In total they raised £103.65 which was matched by the company making the final total raised £207.
Catherine Flood, LLT Advisor – Colleague Development at Cabot Credit Management said: “For me I was really inspired by the work the charity are doing and the passion shown by all involved. I have worked really hard on the training for not only our specialist vulnerable team but also our core colleagues and thought the charity event would not only be a really good way to raise awareness but also some money for the charity. It was so nice to hear we were the first company to run one! I’m looking forward to organising more in the future.”
