Economic Capability Project

Economic stability underpins the physical safety of domestic abuse survivors. Perpetrators commonly seek to limit their partner’s choices through making them economically dependent. This may include destroying their confidence to manage their finances. The ‘Economic Capability Project’ is a partnership with Gentoo Housing and is funded by the Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner. It ensures that the content and delivery of economic capability programmes suit the needs of victims and survivors and minimise further risk of abuse.
